Hmmm, now all the sudden I CAN check it. Hopefully it won't be a back and forth thing...

Just in case all Sasquatch game links have been scrubbed in that thread, and I also went back and deleted the link to Kung Fu Election since it created a "We will hang you by your toenails if you try to visit this site" Pioneer warning. Cat stacking survives FOR NOW...

Dude... I wouldn't go deleting all your posts... It's not going to "fix" anything.

Well once it's in the system, then it could be a problem, but beyond that, to avoid getting there, the locking down of the last few forum categories...may help keept it out of people's radar.

My niece was in a car accident last night. She's going to be OK.

She was riding in the passenger seat with a friend, they were just leaving a bowling alley, and they hit a concrete pillar (used to have a light pole on it, but the pole was gone). She was still putting her seatbelt on, so she bounced her head off the windshield (broke the windshield) and bruised up her knees. Turns out she has a fractured vertebrae fin in her neck at C7.

She spent the night and all day in the hospital laying on her back with a neck brace on. The neuro consult came in and told her to get up and walk around, then said she could go home.

Glad to hear that she is OK!

Whoa! Scary. Glad she'll be ok. They didn't want to do any scans though?

I believe my conversation w/ Brandon yesterday was that it wasn't that surprising....
  4.
my thoughts were along the same lines.

Some cities are jokingly offer to rename all of their citizens "Google" and Topeka Kansas has put forward that it could rename the entire community, I think that we could point to the end of the "Encino Man" Southpark episode where Des Moines is said to be two years behind everyone in the country to make the case for central Iowa...

We should make a promo video about how we need the super speed broadband to play our networked Sega Dreamcast games.

So, did everyone get their super important letter from the Census, telling you that you're going to get a letter from the Census in about a week? Yeah. That's efficiency. *thumbs up*

San Diego runaway Prius may be a faker.

In any case... everyone should know how to stop their vehicle in the event of a stuck accelerator. All these stories about people going for miles, and the whole family that died in a wreck were completely avoidable. The options are:

If you have an "old school" ignition key, you can turn it back one click, which will kill the engine. You will lose your power steering & power brake assists, but they will still work. DON'T turn it 2 clicks back, because that may lock your steering column.

If you have a newer car with a Start / Stop button, you may need to hold the start button down for 2 or 3 seconds to stop the engine. Read the owners manual.

In any car, you can always downshift and brake, or put it into neutral. If you leave the engine running at full revs for very long, it may destroy your engine, so turn it off ASAP.

You should practice these in a big empty parking lot to see what your car steers & brakes like with now power.

Unemployment is pretty high right now, perhaps you could create a "permanent installation"

In my mail: one "a few days ago you recieved a request to participate" postcard from the census people with matching information to the pre-postcard and the help numbers on THE ACTUAL FORM. Is messing with the census and claiming all the muppets as current residents a federal crime? What if one went insane and actually believed the muppets were living with one?
