I don't have any of them. I've seen the 1st one twice in the last year on cable, haven't seen the 2nd one (my favorite) in years. I think I've only seen Thunderdome twice - once at the theater, and probably a year after it was released.
a few days. we'll be back real late sunday night, so no movie events this weekend. but any time after that, come on over and i'll oil up your manly body and we can ride around on motorcycles.
Sweet. Chris invited me to come over an play in his bathroom this weekend too. Between your oily invite and this one, looks like a golden opportunity for me to really gay it up a bit.
Guys I just may have accidentally found my life's calling while surfing the net- a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has begun a new field of inquiry called "Game Studies"
"Yes I am the Samus Aran professor of Doom at U.C.Berkeley, and I would just like to say that your game has some serious flaws..."
I'm not going to lie, it's nothing more than quake3 + nailgun + remote mine gun
It is nearly entirely browser based, that's kindof neat. I'm not having a whole lot of luck hitting people, but then again, I always sucked @ quake games.
Yeah, that's the one. Seems like people either love it or hate it. Most of the haters are like "this isn't Quake 3". Well... duh... if it were Quake 3 they would have called it Quake 3, and not Warsow.
Things I like about Warsow: - The movement is lots of fun - wall jumping and shit. - Gameplay is really smooth
Things I don't like: - The shotgun that is loaded with nerf pellets. - The CTF mode where you have to have one player stand on the enemy's flag base while another caps it. They should rename that to WTF mode.
We got several people playing Warsow at Magfest. It was probably the most successful multi-player we got going, with the exception of the pirated version of Unreal III that some of the other tards ran, which I didn't participate in.
I signed up for the Quake Live beta a couple of months ago, but never got a response.
Chris and I were talking about doing some online ETQW on Saturday evening, probably after 9pm. He should be sending out an email to all of the people coming to his LAN next week, or just get on the pancake.dchamp.net ventrilo server about 9pm.
btw, speaking of road warrior and video games... dave, do you have our copy of burnout? i seem to remember it going your direction... if you remember, bring that back over sometime, i wanna check out the new upgrade pack they just released for it.. also, you might care... they're releasing another upgrade in a few months, with motorcycles. could be fun.
Those of you with PS3's - watch the LBP Sackzilla Trailer - it's in the playstation store game trailers. Those without (aka cheapskates, see also: losers) can watch a lo-res version on youtube (although there's probably an HD one out there somewhere):

There is supposed to be a playable demo available sometime in September. Hey, it's September, already!
A recent poll by the Pew Internet & American Life project found that 97 percent of children 12 to 17 play games on computers, consoles and handheld devices
Have any of you tried the Mirror's Edge demo yet? I played it for a little while last night on the PS3. Looks like it might be fun... might appeal to those of you that are into movement oriented games with lots of combo moves & wall jumping and stuff. The demo / tutorial is a bit slow & linear, you'd think as the levels advance they make more path options.
I ran across one jump where I'm having trouble landing it - you jump between buildings that are too far apart to make it, and you're supposed to grab a drain pipe on the other side, but I kept missing it and falling.
