This funds to every foreign contractors will make me happy I live in the united state!
You're right. They have never gotten any better over the years because they haven't NEEDED to. This one is even self-referential in discussing notorious internet scams...
<rant> hmm, Ctrl + Alt + Delete, used to be a relatively good webcomic, albeit bland.
however, this latest story arc screams at me as nothing more than a trite and pathetic understanding of his audience, all the while trying to justify his dive off into insanity bay by saying "it was always going to be like this". Personally, I have stopped reading it completely, due to 2 facts.
1)Complete disregard for the supposed content of the site, which in turn alienates and disgusts his fanbase.
2)Complete and utter disregard and understanding of the content of his latest story arc. Disgusting to use such a tragic event to boost his bloody traffic figures.
</rant>
That being said. Funny is good and if you don't already watch it, google search ZERO PUNCTUATION. or you can find it at http://www.escapistmagazine.com/
Well, I applaud him for trying something new. He states in no uncertain terms on his blog that he loves writing and felt the need to challenge himself to do something other than video game jokes, stupid humor, and the same ol', same ol'.
I personally get tired of the same jokes from guys that have some talent, but no real skill. I take Penny Arcade as my example. Funny as can get most of the time, but never anything new. Never anything challenging the ability of the storyteller to tell something that can touch on any other emotions.
Characters should be dynamic as should the storyteller. In my opinion, he isn't alienating his fan-base, he's just showing what he is about and if his "fans" don't like it, then he really doesn't need them as his fans.
I have no idea what Steve's ranting about (not unusual). About the only time I read that, or other web comics, is when Sammy posts them, or someone directs me to one. Although I've started reading FreakAngels...
1) I thought the 10 commandments comic above was funny.
I read a lot of web comics...each has their own strengths and weaknesses. In Ctrl-Alt-Del, the most recent story arch was certainly out of left field, but interesting and touching none the less.
If things remain the same, they eventually get boring.
Anders Loves Maria recently parodied the Ctrl-Alt-Del controversy. This is a good comic for anyone curious about Sweden or the venereal diseases one can catch there.
EDIT NOTE: I am not the Will who commented and called it "fabulous", or anybody else writing in
